Indian Menopause Society (IMS) was founded in 1995 as a multidisciplinary organization for care of women in menopause. Chennai Chapter was started in 2004. In 2017, IMS changed its working pattern and chapters were given independence hence Chennai Menopause Society was started in 2018.
